ROCKFORD - Four Belvidere Bucs scored in double figures to lead Belvidere past Freeport, 60-44, in the opening game of the 205 Tip-Off Classic at Jefferson High School.
Belvidere was hot from the start, racing to a 23-4 lead in the first period. Austin Revolinski scored eight of his 14 points during the spurt.
Freeport trailed 36-13 at halftime, but the Pretzels rallied to cut the lead to 51-40 before Belvidere put on a final push. Tareq Hiteman scored 12 for Freeport and Grant Holman added 10.
Will Morris and Xavier Dent scored 12 each for Belvidere and Nate Horton added 10.
