Auburn holds off Larkin comeback

ROCKFORD - The Auburn Knights gave back 19 points of a 20-point halftime lead before pulling away in the last minutes to beat Elgin Larkin, 76-67.

Auburn came out hot, hitting eight three-pointers in the first half as the Knights raced out to a 51-31 halftime lead. Anthony Lynch though carried the Royals back into, scoring 11 of his 20 points in the second half. Elgin Larkin eventually carved the lead down to 64-63 before the Knights righted the ship.

Tenoah Tatum led Auburn with 17 points. Terry Ford added 16 points and Justin Robinson chipped in 15. The Knights helped Larkin get back into the game by making just six of 19 free throws.

Lynch led Larkin with 20 points, Kashmir Ivy had 15 and 6-10 center Jalen Shaw was held to 14.
