Proviso West beats Belvidere inside and out

ROCKFORD - Proviso West beat Belvidere at its long-distance shooting game, knocking the Bucs from the unbeaten ranks, 58-47.

The Panthers had six players over 6-4 in the rotation Saturday, which kept Belvidere from doing any damange in the lane. To win, Belvidere had to win the 3-point battle, but Proviso West was hot from there as well. The Panthers sank eight three-pointers to Belvidere's six as Proviso West improved to 3-1 in the tournament. Belvidere dropped to 1-2.

Robert Hill led West with 15 points and Ronnie Allgood came off the bench to score 11. Austin Revolinski led Belvidere with 18 points and Nate Horton had 10.
