ROCKFORD - Hollywood Florida McArthur ran its 205 Tip-Off Classic tournament record to 2-0, pulling away from Elgin Larkin in the latter stages of the fourth quarter to take a 77-65 lead.
The Mustangs trailed only briefly (28-25) after Larkin rallied from a 19-9 deficit built on a 10-0 McArthur run.
Larkin, expected to feature twin towers Christian Negron and Jalen Shaw, lost Negron for the season when he suffered a torn knee ligament in September.
McArthur was led by Ralph Bissainthe's 22 points. Jamari Belvin had 19 points and Kheron Millwood 16 for the Florida team.
Shaw scored 21 points to lead Larkin.
