ROCKFORD - Robert Hill, Dontonio Ward and Elijah Gipson combined for 46 points as the Panthers evened their tournament record at 1-1. East fell to 0-2.
Hill had 22 points and Ward and Gipson scored 12 each as Proviso West led all the way expect for a brief period at the end of the first quarter. East trailed by just five entering the fourth quarter, but West outscored the E-Rabs 23-15 in the final eight minutes.
Sophomore Chris Burnell led East with 19 points before fouling out in the final minute. Scott Gowan added 12 for the E-Rabs.
