Larkin outlasts Jefferson in double overtime

ROCKFORD - Elgin Larkin needed two overtimes to pick up its first tournament win Wednesday night at Guilford.

Anthony Lynch's basket with 15 seconds remaining in regulation tied the score at 59 entering the first overtime. The Royals then scored the first seven points of the extra period before Jefferson, 1-2, mounted a comeback. My'Quion Garrett's three-point buzzer-beater made it 66-66 heading into the second extra period.

Larkin took command in the second overtime and won going away. Lynch led Larkin with 19 points. Jalen Shaw had 18 points and Kashmir Ivy and Pierre Black had 14 apiece for the Royals, 1-1.

Quillen Dixon led Jefferson with 15 points. Garrett and Alishawuan Taylor each scored 14 points.
