Plenty of players to watch in this year's Tip-Off Classic

In its third year, the 205 Tip-Off Classic is quickly gaining a reputation as an excellent gathering place to see the next generation of college stars.

This year's collection was to feature Christian Negron of Elgin Larkin, who signed in February to play
with Chicago's Loyola University. Negron injured his knee in September and will miss his senior season. Even without Negron, Larkin features Division 1 prospects 6-9 Jalen Shaw (pictured right) and 6-3 combo guard Anthony Lynch.

Milwaukee Bay View is bringing 6-4 guard Breontae Hunt, who is being recruited by Wisconsin-Milwaukee and several other schools.

Janesville Parker's top prospect is 6-7 junior forward Chris Galvan, but Galvan is recovering from an ankle injury and may see limited time.

Proviso West, which played in the first Tip-Off Classic before taking last year off, returns with three Division 1 prospects, 6-10 center Trajon Johnson, 6-7 forward Elijah Gipson and 6-5 guard Ronnie Allgood.

Perennial power Indianapolis Pike is playing in its third Tip-Off Classic. Pike's top prospects are 6-6 senior foward Isiah James and 6-6 sophomore Brandon Vernon. Four others, Elijah Pennington, Justin Williams, Darian Porch and Tyree Pegues are getting looks from NAIA or Division II schools.

The most anticipated newcomer is Hollywood (Fla.) McArthur High School. McArthur features a plethora of players who will be playing high level college basketball. Noah Brown has received scholarship offers from VMI and Alabama A&M, Jaden Lindsey has gotten an offer from Florida Gulf Coast and Ralph Bissainthe is being recruited by schools such as Stetson, VMI and Charleston Southern. Jamari Belvin and Kheron Millwood are getting looks from DII and NAIA schools.
