Perspectives hold off Belvidere

ROCKFORD - Chicago Perspectives withstood a Belvidere rally in the fourth quarter to win its 205 Tip-Off Classic debut, 61-55.

The Wolves led by 11 entering the fourth quarter but saw the lead whittled to four behind some stellar Bucs free throw shooting. Belvidere made all 15 of its free throws in the fourth quarter, led by Phil Kolk. Kolk scored 19 of his game-high 24 points in the second half, including seven in the fourth.

Issac McKay turned the tide for Perspectives, hitting three layups against Belvidere's press in the last two minutes to clinch the win. McKay and Elijah Harris scored 11 for the Wolves and Shawn Watts had 14.

Belvidere dropped to 0-3 and plays Madison LaFollette at 4 p.m. Perspectives plays Jefferson tonight at 6 p.m. at Auburn and then takes on Freeport and Guilford tomorrow.
