Freeport outlasts Janesville Parker in overtime

Freeport outscored Janesville Parker 13-8 in overtime to score a 71-66 victory at East High Wednesday afternoon.

Parker's Chris Galvan sent the game into overtime when he scored two free throws after time had expired to knot the score at 58. Two baskets by AJ Thompson gave Parker a brief lead in overtime before Freeport pulled away.

Galvan led all scorers with 31 points, which ties the single-game record for the four-year-old event. Thompson added 14 for Parker. Cade Budenz scored 20 points to lead four Freeport players in double figures. Kijuan Burns had 16 points for the Pretzels, sophomore Deron Lacy 14 and Myterrion Carter 13.
