Balanced Guilford knocks off Janesville Parker

ROCKFORD - The Guilford Vikings had 10 players score as they picked up their first win of the season, 52-49, over Janesville Parker.

It was a tough ending for Parker, which lost its other game in the 205 Tip-Off Classic to Freeport in overtime.

Alejandro Rodriguez led Guilford with nine points, Jamil Jones and Jack Ivanic had seven each, and Sam Stewart, Jack Holmstrom and Josh Williams each scored six.

A.J. Thompson led Parker with 13 points and Chris Galvan, who scored a Tip-Off record 31 against Freeport, was held to 12.

Wisconsin schools are restricted to two games for tournaments so Parker's schedule is finished. Guilford plays Chicago Hyde Park at 2:30 p.m. then Chicago Perspectives tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at Auburn.
