Jefferson pours it on against Perspectives

ROCKFORD - Jefferson started hot again Friday, but this time the J-Hawks kept up the pace throughout, picking up a 69-47 win over Chicago Perspectives.

Jefferson scored 23 points in the first quarter on the way to a 38-28 halftime lead. The J-Hawks then outscored the Wolves 18-7 in the third quarter and cruised to its first win of the season. In Jefferson's season-opener Wednesday, the J-Hawks poured in 25 points in the first quarter against Chicago Whitney Young while building a 10-point lead only to lose 80-72.

Quillen Dixon led Jefferson with 24 points and MyQuion Garrett added 22 points. The J-Hawks wrap up the Tip-Off Classic Saturday with games against Chicago St. Rita and Elgin Larkin.

Shawn Watts led Perspectives with 14 points. The Wolves play Freeport and Guilford Saturday.
