Clark ends short, dominant run with win over Jefferson

The Chicago Clark Eagles raced out to a 22-11 lead after the first quarter and were never seriously challenged in a 72-50 win over Rockford Jefferson.

C.J. Johnson scored 15 of his team-high 25 in the first half as the Eagles led 40-27 after two quarters. The Eagles then opened the second half with a 13-0 run. Katrell Weekly added 17 points. Clark went 2-0 in the Tip-Off Classic.

Randy Johnson was Jefferson's only scoring threat. He had 26 points and the next highest J-Hawk had eight.
