Auburn can't overcome Whitney Young run

Chicago’s Whitney Young completed a perfect stay in the Tip-off Classic with a 77-65 victory over Auburn.

The Dolphins finished tournament play with a 2-0 record, while Auburn dropped to 1-1.

Auburn hung with the Dolphins for most of the first half, Forging a 30-30  tie on a pair of three-pointers by Rakim Chaney. But Whitney Young outscored the Knights 13-4 to take a 43-34 halftime lead. The Dolphins continued the onslaught in the third quarter, building a 66-42 edge before Auburn closed the gap slightly in the final eight minutes.

Daley Davis and Dan Johnson led Whitney Young with 15 points apiece. Adrian Agee led Auburn with 15 points and Chaney added 14.
