East St. Louis too much for Jefferson

East St. Louis, the defending 205 Tip-Off Classic champions, blew out an overmatched Rockford Jefferson squad playing its second game of the day, 80-31.

The Flyers led 16-6 after the first quarter and then scored the first 22 points of the second quarter.

East St. Louis, which plays Guilford tonight in the last of eight games Friday, was led by Macaleab Rich, who had 21, and D'Necco Rucker, who had 18. Randy Johnson led Jefferson with 12.
