ROCKFORD -- Chicago Hyde Park outscored East 24-10 in the third quarter to pull away to a 69-59 victory over the E-Rabs in a Friday afternoon game at East.
Scott Gowan's three-pointer from the corner as time expired pulled East within 33-31 at halftime, but the outcome was never in doubt after the third quarter outburst by the Thunderbirds.
Tajuan Agee led Hyde Park with 25 points. while Myhkal Oliver had 12 points and Jenzell Steward had 10.
East was led by Charles Burnell's 17 points. His brother, Chris Burnell, a freshman starter, added 10 points for the E-Rabs.
