Long-distance shooting leads Larkin over Parker

ROCKFORD -- Elgin Larkin evened its 205 Tip-Off Classic record at 2-2 by riding the hot shooting of A.J. Hunter and Keyvon Kyles to a 62-55 win over Janesville Parker.

Hunter and Kyles scored 28 points between them, including hitting six three-pointers at Rockford Auburn. Christian Negron chipped in 12 points as well.

The Royals led by five at halftime and built the lead to 10 before the Vikings rallied in the fourth quarter. Parker cut the lead to three with less than two minutes to play before falling short. Carlos Campos led Parker with 17 points and Darion Young added 14 points.

Wisconsin limits its teams to fewer season games than does Illinois so Parker, along with Madison La Follette and Indianapolis Pike of Indiana played just two games in the tournament. The Vikings finished 1-1.
