• Larkin won a Class 4A regional championship last year. It was the third regional title in seven years under Deryn Carter.
• The Royals return most of their team, as there were only two seniors on last year’s roster. They will be particularly deep with guards led by senior Anthony Lynch, while 6-9 senior Jalen Shaw will be the team’s main force.
• This is Larkin’s fourth season in the Tip-Off Classic. The Royals finished 3-2 last year, and then junior Jalen Shaw made first-team all-tournament.
